River Spell is a Colorado-based jam band that delivers heartfelt songwriting and extended improvisation. Their timeless, yet innovative sound encompasses elements of folk, rock, funk, psychedelic and bluegrass music.
River Spell formed in the front range of Colorado. Since their formation, the band has been gigging tirelessly and spreading their infectious sound throughout the country. River Spell shows are truly unique and immersive experiences; no show is like the last.
Since their recent formation, River Spell has played alongside bands such as Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Leftover Salmon, Railroad Earth, Lindsay Lou, Duane Betts, Holly Bowling, Bill Nershi & Jason Hann (of The String Cheese Incident), Tom Hamilton and many more. River Spell released their debut album in February of 2024. Their debut single, “Bottom of the Hill”, was added to Spotify’s “Modern Jam Band” playlist and has received over 50,000 plays.
